Social media and internet presence can really make or break a business, especially in the hospitality field. In fact social media is what drew me to Events By Rebecca, a local event planner working in Sacramento CA. I saw Rebecca’s business page on instagram and was immediately drawn to her style, decor, and overall vibe. I reached out to her on her social media account, and after meeting over coffee was offered a freelance blogging and media position. For this position I was responsible for social media content and management, blogging about the wedding industry, and acting as a right hand to Rebecca on the days of her events with whatever help she needs.
This opportunity has given me an inside look at the life of an event planner. I have gained valuable skills in website design, business social media, blogging, and hands on day of event experience performing a huge variety of tasks at the event like catering, busing, set up, tear down, rehearsal, staging, photography, vendor relationships, and so much more.
