Before college, I went back and forth between a career that would be financially stable or one solely based on my passions. All I knew was that I love being creative, working with people, and working with food. I stumbled across the nutrition program at UC Davis and fell in love because it allowed me to combine all of these passions. I graduated from UC Davis Spring 2017 with a degree in Clinical Nutrition and Foodservice Management.

My Nutrition degree has given me critical thinking, communication, time management, and food service management skills that complement my extracurricular experience. Surprisingly, I do not wish to pursue a career in clinical dietetics, or even a dietetic career as most in my major do. What I want is a position that is fueled by my creativity; incorporating my food service experience, love of food, management background, and knack for creativity. I feel so lucky to live in the Farm-To-Fork Capitol where I get to have a career fueled by fresh, local food.
